Prepare your first visit
Bring the prescription, useful reports and discharge instructions if you have had surgery. A list of medications and important health conditions can facilitate the discussion. It is not necessary to request a new image just to come to physiotherapy: the benefit of an examination is decided according to the situation.
Also prepare one or two concrete questions. For example: how to walk to work, sleep better or start exercising again? Describe what you have tried and what is already helping you. If warning signs are present, contact the appropriate medical service before the session; the practice and the callback form do not replace an emergency route.

What does the assessment explore?
The physiotherapist discusses the onset of symptoms, their evolution, your health and your daily life. Depending on the problem, he can observe walking, mobility, strength, support and difficult tasks. The exam must be explained and adapted to your comfort. It is not reduced to palpating a painful point or measuring symmetry.
The information may point to the joint, a tendon, the back or another cause. The professional should explain what remains uncertain. If the situation goes beyond the scope of rehabilitation or requires a medical examination, referral becomes a priority. A guide and a movement assessment do not replace all possible examinations.
Define useful goals and a starting point
A goal describes an activity that is important to you: getting up, taking steps, working, or returning to a workout. It should be concrete enough that you can compare the situation over time. The complete disappearance of all sensation is not always the first realistic goal.
The program starts from what you can do and what needs to be protected. Two people using the word hip pain may have different needs. Discuss available time, materials and home constraints. A short schedule that you understand and can follow may be more helpful than a long list with no priorities.
What place for exercises and other techniques?
Activity and adapted exercises have an important place in several hip problems, notably osteoarthritis and certain tendinopathies. The work may be aimed at useful mobility, strength, endurance or a particular task. The difficulty should evolve with your abilities and response to effort.
Certain complementary techniques can be discussed depending on the assessment. Their role must be explained and their effect reassessed. They do not guarantee the repair of cartilage or a definitive realignment of the pelvis. You need to understand what you're doing between sessions and how it all contributes to your goals, rather than relying solely on temporary relief.
How to coordinate with other professionals?
After an operation or fracture, the instructions of the surgeon and the hospital team guide weight bearing and progression. During pregnancy, information from the maternity ward and the professional following the pregnancy is important. An inflammatory disease or nerve difficulty may also require medical coordination.
Certain requests, such as pelvic floor disorders, rehabilitation of a child or complex surgical situations, may require specific skills and guidance. This page does not assume that all of these specialist treatments are offered at the practice. Contact the practice to clarify your request and the necessary documents before counting on a particular service.

Bring
Prescription, useful documents and instructions after an intervention.
Explain
An important activity that is difficult and what influences it.
Clarify
Exercises to do at home, limits and the date of the next update.
Between sessions: know what to observe
Simply note the movement made, its quantity and the useful changes: ease of walking, sleeping or completing a task. Instructions should specify when to progress and when to reduce. The Exercises section allows you to keep a selection in PDF, but this sheet is not a prescription or a program automatically adapted to each diagnosis.
Report lasting worsening, new weakness, or change in symptoms. A warning sign requires immediate or rapid guidance depending on the case; you don't have to wait for the next session. If you are unable to complete an exercise, the program can be modified. Difficulty following instructions is information to be discussed, not a personal failure.
How do you decide whether to continue, modify or end?
Monitoring compares agreed goals, capabilities and response to care. If you progress, the sessions and independent work can evolve. If the result is insufficient, it is necessary to review the load, the method and sometimes the initial hypothesis. A medical re-evaluation may be necessary when the picture no longer corresponds to that at baseline.
The number of sessions and duration cannot be guaranteed from the name of a condition. The goal is for you to have useful guidelines to continue activities and know when to ask for help. An end of follow-up may include a maintenance plan and a course of action in the event of a change, without promising a definitive absence of pain.
Prescription, reimbursement and contact: where to check?
The practice provides treatment on medical prescription. The reimbursement conditions depend in particular on the approved treatment document and the applicable rules. The mere fact of having a prescription or having had an operation does not allow us to conclude that there is a precise reimbursement.
Consult the First visit and CNS pages for the administrative information already available, then contact the office for points concerning your file. This page does not create new prices, guaranteed deadlines or unconfirmed specialist services. For a medical emergency, use the appropriate route; an appointment or callback request is intended for a non-urgent situation.
Your questions
Do I need a prescription?
Yes, Kiné Diddeleng provides treatment exclusively on medical prescription. Bring it with the useful documents. The financial support conditions are checked separately according to your file.
Can the physiotherapist promise me how many sessions it will take?
An objective and an initial plan can be discussed, but the duration depends on your situation and progress. The program should be re-evaluated if results are insufficient. The name of a condition is not enough to guarantee a number of sessions.
Do you offer all pelvic rehabilitation?
This page does not claim to offer all specialties. For a request concerning pregnancy, the pelvic floor, a child or a complex procedure, contact the office to verify the appropriate orientation and skills. No unconfirmed services are added by this guide.

What to do if symptoms change between two sessions?
If there are warning signs, seek appropriate medical help without delay. For non-urgent aggravation or poorly tolerated exercise, seek advice to review the program. Note the change and associated activities to facilitate the exchange.
